Do you intend to update the STL to include distance and calories burned in the future?

Hey, Laura.
Sorry I missed this post earlier -- I've been very busy other projects and have kind of neglected the STL forum. Yes, we do have plans to provide integrated distance and energy calculation for future releases. Look for StepTrakPlus come out later this summer.
In the mean time you can get distance and energy estimates from posting your steps to MapMyWalk. Once you log your steps you can visit MapMyWalk to get estimates of distance, energy, and other neat features.
